Reflection 1
After the whole semester, I have been more familiar with e-portfolio, a tool that I have never used before. I used to type on the computer and print it out, which is a traditional and common way of the composition class. However, this class adapts a novel way to improve students’ writing skills. By providing several approaches, such as an online dictionary and paraphrase tools, I can make the essay more competitive. The technique also enables me to convey my thoughts more expressively. That is, by designing the e-portfolio website, I can make it into the way I want to present to the public. The style, the photos, and other graphic design pieces of stuff are the dominant elements to create a website. In the technology era, people are required to learn technical skills, for example, editing videos and art. Creating our e-portfolio websites benefits our skills in aesthetic design. In my point of view, a neat and plain space of a whole page is enough. A graphic picture is even more eye-catching to the readers. As a result, I learn how to select pictures that make the pages more attractive when designing the website. TA’s suggestions were useful. Sometimes the pages were not friendly enough for the readers to read. However, after I made some adjustments with the advice, the pages look better. Her suggestions to adding more pictures or the location of them were also very helpful. I put only one picture on an essay once without noticing the monotone, and I also placed all the pictures underneath the article several times. It was not until I saw the feedback from TA that I realized the problem of designing pages. Now I have learned to scatter the pictures. Arranging them in different places makes my website look more pleasing than before.
